About Barber Consulting, LLC


Founded in 2006 by retired United States Department of Agriculture employee Henry Barber, Barber Consulting, LLC was established as a way to continue to offer Mr. Barber's services to tribes, reservations, and government agencies nationwide.  As President, Mr. Barber takes an active role in maintaining only the highest standard of excellence, a tradition continued from the last 30 years of employment with the USDA, and the recognition received throughout his career. 

Located in scenic Cedar Hill, Texas, about 25 miles southwest of downtown Dallas, Barber Consulting, LLC is within close range of both Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field, as well as Executive Airport and Arlington Municipal Airport. Recently, Barber Consulting, LLC has provided consulting services to state agencies, including the Arkansas and New Mexico Departments of Health, and to Native American tribes, including the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, Osage, Chickasaw Nation, and Zuni Pueblo.

Henry Barber, President

  • Graduate of Arkansas Tech University, 1972, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education

  • 32 years experience with the Food and Nutrition Service, US Department of Agriculture

  • Worked with the Food Stamp Program, WIC Program, Farmers' Market Nutrition Program, and the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations

  • 24 years service in the WIC, FMN and SFMN programs.

  • 18 years service as Team Leader of the WIC Program's Funding and Reports Unit where Mr. Barber negotiated grants, reviewed financial reports for accuracy and trends, trained State Agency, WIC, and Finance staff on WIC/FMNP reports and funding rules, conducted Management Evaluations of WIC State Agencies, and provided guidance on allowable costs.

  • Extensive experience with Cost Allocation Plans, Indirect Cost Agreements, and Advance Planning Documents

  • 13+ years experience in automotive sales and service writing/advising, sales consulting, and service management and training

  • Graduate of Collin County Community College, 2000, Associate of Applied Sciences in Computer Network Technology, Cum Laude

  • Graduate of the Cisco Network Academy, 2000, and holder of the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification

  • Nissan North America Full Line Service certified for 2006, 2007 and 2008

  • Nissan North America Warranty Administration certified

  • Prior experience with computer systems installation, network administration, and computer systems repair and refurbishing.
